Still not back yet

I got home Tuesday night from Texas, but I only dug back into my Gmail this morning, and I haven't taken a look at LJ since last Friday. So, uh, if you need anything, email me or phone or tell me here?

Oh, but wait, I _have_ caught up enough to see [livejournal.com profile] ladysisyphus' Very Important Poll with the best tag ever.

Wow, so many things get better when you replace select words like "peace," "mankind," and "hope" with "monkeys."

One of my friends says, "Things are always better with monkeys."

I disagree, but the thought is amusing.

You yourself frequently say "the monkeys are crazy!" in relation to all sorts of things. I think that is especially true and especially amusing.

Oz agrees too, I think.

Oh, I do. But that "the monkeys are crazy" is one of the main reasons I disagree with the thought "things are always better with monkeys".

I would expect Oz to have the skepticism about monkey behavior that all cats do. Wise animals.

Yeah, he's a wise animal, and I think he figures he's glad to have me back to snuggle with... but he wants to know what in hell I did that made my shoes smell so funky.
