Take the cilantro, leave the zamboni

1. r_ness wants something to eat that you can only get around here. Ideas? I'm thinking of the sloppy joes from Main Street Subs, or something odd from the Firehouse Pizza menu, or maybe trying to find the Afghan place in Morristown. Or maybe that cute little Mexican place in Berkeley Heights that had rather oddly diner-ish food for a Mexican place.

2. You know you're a nerd when you find yourself correcting the TV and your roommate about the difference between schizophrenia and dissociative identity disorder, and that they don't call it multiple personality disorder anymore.

3. My roommate and I don't agree about everything, but she's a fellow fangirl, we do frequently admire the same boys, and she makes good mix CDs. Nuff said.

4. I hate searching. Too bad this morning involved WorldCat searching and this afternoon involves SIRSI searching. Crap.

Just as I'd hit send on that last post, I heard this awful noise through my headphones.

I had figured they were testing the security system again, and that they were testing some new, differently annoying alarm. Or they were testing the fire alarms again.

Then it didn't stop. It was the fire alarm.

We just got to spend, what, 15 minutes standing outside, while it started to drizzle, waiting for them to turn it off and figure out how it started.

I spent that time avoiding someone who waved at me cheerfully from across the plaza while engaged in conversation with my metaboss. Thank goodness for mrmoonpants, who provided a pleasant excuse for me to stay where I was.

Bleh.
