Thanks, Secretary Blackwell, now I feel partially reassured about the elections process in Ohio. Am I reading it right that he's clarified the business about 80 pound paper stock, but he's still directing what looks like a violation of the right to a provisional ballot even if you've showed up at the wrong voting precinct?
Mind you, I read that right after I'd signed the petition to holler about the card stock issue and the improper polling place issue. Did it even though I figured petitions do NOTHING in this age; as
holmes_iv pointed out, petitioning an elected official is a little more likely to do something than petitioning someone who hasn't been elected to do what they're doing. (Only he put it more coherently.)
So y'know, the paper stock issue seems to be better, but there's still that provisional ballot issue to clear up. So if you feel like signing that petition or, even better, contacting his office directly, especially if you actually VOTE IN OHIO....

Also interesting: I'd never seen a picture of Blackwell until I went to his website. And I still get GOP mailings at my address in Ohio. Which do not have a photo of him on them. You think that's an accident, given my county's racial history? I suspect it isn't. And that makes me sad.
