Dance reveals symmetry especially in young men
Dance is believed to be important in the courtship of a variety of species, including humans, but nothing is known about what dance reveals about the underlying phenotypic—or genotypic—quality of the dancer.
If you have access to a Nature subscription, follow this link and check out this article, and the supplementary materials [It shouldn't work if you don't have one, I don't think]. They used motion-capture cameras to create computer models of people dancing, then had others rate the dances. Supplementary information here [update: GA says you can get into this part, subscription or not!]. The little dances are ADORABLE.
