1. I have been tired, ill or anxious (wait, anxious = ill) a lot lately.
2. My social filters loosen when I'm tired or ill.
3. This means I a) tease people about serious things or b) say things more bluntly than usual.
4. Bust my chops if you have to, but keep in mind that I already know my filters are loose and when faced with a "laugh or else you'll cry" situation I do try to laugh. I do generally try to laugh "with," not laugh "at."
5. If you know I'm tired or ill, don't expect me to be Miss Manners, not that any of you expect that normally.
6. Laughing at stuff I say when the filters are loose is totally okay. I really wish I could remember the really funny example of me saying amusingly blunt things while half asleep and talking on the phone last night, but I can't. Which is probably just as well!
