Thou shalt listen to the first of the stories on this page at the very least, and be thankful that these people are alive to tell this story.
I do not know why I find it comforting to hear them curse the same way I would, in that instant. I guess I just like knowing that human nature is the same the world over, even in such a tiny thing.
Oh, but beware the comments below the written story, because hooboy, inanity. I don't like _that_ part of human nature.
Edit: I just want to give Ivan Watson a hug now. I take that calm voice for granted all the time and even get tired of hearing him talk about Iraq. It's amazing how calmly he could explain this-- he only really pauses once in the end of the second audio clip.
