I also seem to remember some show of Librarian solidarity when she got in trouble during her first episode, and some shouting (I don't remember if it was good or bad) about the filing system used in her library. That's perspective you just don't get watching the show with Muggles. ;)

I must admit that SG1 makes me want to get a degree in astrophysics sometimes, and go work for the USAF, but I might just get the stupid dancing pharaohs screensaver and call it even. (And then there's kayaking, but a) it's an actress for SG1, not a character, who reportedly kayaks, and b) I already wanted to take up kayaking ANYWAY.)
