I shoulda been a hacker librarian. Someday, maybe.

Even better, last year it was at Simon Fraser University. Dan Chudnov (Yale Med Library hacker librarian extraordinaire, and one of the guys behind JAKE,) compares it to Burning Man. SOOO COOOL.

Damn, now I'm having an "I shoulda been a DigiLibrarian" moment....

The Burning Man picture with the head of the action figure librarian. All I can say is I'm glad my officemates weren't in hearing distance.

Yet more proof that Dan Chudnov Rocks. I remember hearing him talk about a conference presentation he'd given about JAKE, while he was at the YUL holiday party. It was something like "And then after my talk FRED KILGOUR [the guy who started automation at YUL and then left to found OCLC] came up to me and told me I did good! FRED KILGOUR!!!!"
