That Cranberry Thingie
2 12 oz bags fresh or frozen cranberries
2 C water
2 C sugar
2 packages cherry Jell-O
2 C chopped celery
1 C chopped walnuts
Wash the cranberries and drain them, then put them in a large saucepan with the water and sugar. Pick out any bruised berries. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. (The berries will splash as they pop so be careful) When the mixture boils and most of the berries have popped, remove from heat and add both packages of Jell-O, stirring to dissolve. Let the mix cool for 20 minutes, then add celery and walnuts. Stir until evenly mixed and pour into a 13X9 pan. Place in refrigerator to set. Chilling overnight works well, so you can make this the day before you need it and take it out when you're ready to serve it.
