So I was listening to "Walk of Life" by Dire Straits.

And it occurs to me that I know this song, and like it, and gee, I never quite realized it was a Dire Straits song.

And I go to IM oxlahun about this.

Except I IM the _other_ person on my buddy list who has an X in his screen name, because his was closer to the top and I just misidentified it in my rush.

Me: Hey, I know this song!
Me: Ooops. Wrong window. Erm, sorry.
Him: ??
Me: i get you mixed up with oxlahun, who is also on my buddy list and also has an x in his screen name.
Him: ahhh... I see -- that's ok
Me: i'm really sorry. Tell rndmsparks her crazy sister has been IM bombing you.
Him: it's fine -- it was strange cuz I just came online and was messaging someone else


At this point rndmsparks pops up in another window:

rndmsparks:Nice going, funky
Me: Damn, that was fast.
rndmsparks: I'm in the same room!

And I go back to window with rndmsparks's boyfriend:
Me: dude, you're fast, she's already ripping on me.
Him: she was sitting right here

And then I got a phone call from the Goddess of Lasagna to talk about Christmas present ideas, as I was going to write all this down. Phew. I just can't keep up.
