For this, he offers a reward of $10K to be given to charity.
He is descriptive, and it is disgusting, as I'm sure it was intended to be. I'm not sure if Thompson also realized how _cheap_ it is.
Actually, I'm sure he didn't realize, as became clear later. Penny Arcade's response was beautiful; the comic is too brief, but it's a comic. The news post is where the good stuff is. Go back to Wednesday the 12th to see earlier mentions of the topic.
And this reminds me: now that Child's Play has come up, I'm starting to think about what I want to give this year. It's exciting! It launched on October 19 last year, so I expect it'll start soon.
