One of the problems with getting to the point where you can no longer talk to someone is when you run across something you think they'd really like.

To this end, I'm watching CPTV and I just saw a really easy recipe for spanakopita.

*sigh*

Yeah, I know, it's not all about the recipe, it's about having another lazy day. Normally I at least manage to appreciate my own lethargy, but man, not this weekend!

I'll go get some cereal. Hopefully it will help.

Update: Oh hey, CPTV just ran an ad for their Youth Vote series, and some of the images were clearly of Yale buildings and the corner where ABP is. Nifty!

I just read Anne Fadiman's description of finding Fanny Hill on her father's bookshelves as a teenager, and it made me wonder how many of the western Mass. libraries have said book.

Answer: 3 collections, and 2 have an audiobook.

But then I got to the wikipedia article about the novel, and I found this:

Project Gutenberg for the win!

My sister got to help deliver a cria by c-section today! (Don't worry, nothing scary there, just verbal description and a photo of a VERY cute cria on that page, go click!) Momma was up and eating shortly afterwards, and baby is fine too. Cria is a marvelous word for a leggy little baby animal. Cria cria cria. Yay!

We should call it cria yarn, not baby alpaca yarn. It would just be niftier. Less comprehensible, I know, but I like the word cria.
