Now I wanna go caroling. We could get all fancied up in bonnets and crinolines and cravats and top hats and rumble for the best lamp post! You know you wanna.

I mean, this idea just fits perfectly with the way I'm wearing my wristwarmers, which would be positively Dickensian except that they are aubergine PURPLE. Still, hand me my top hat and let's deliver some choral smackdown! (Everyone should have a pair of these things. Jacoby by Berroco Design Team.

Oooh, that's easy to do! Just set Garage Band recordin' and sing along with the sample! Or put it on headphones or something. We have the technology-- I have two computers on my desk!

I think I'd need to have voice-fixing software beyond what Garage Band can do. Like in that one Simpsons episode where Bart & co were in a boy band.

actually aubergine is perfect: The Victorians were wild about garish colors and prints.

These look pretty punk, though.

A good motto! I wish I had the chance to do more with steampunk cuz it makes me happy.

Steampunk caroling: that would be awesome. I'd need a theremin in a pretty brass and hardwood case or something, though.

You could crochet a fun-fur edge on the ones you have for caroling purposes and totally channel Helena Bonham Carter.

(YESPLZ.)

(damn, now I need a top hat and some spectacles)

The problem with caroling is that many people get pretty PO'ed if you knock on their door wanting to sing at them... it's best to only carol at those your know.

And I think most people we know in NYC would be happier singing! :)

...but we could have a caroling party... *hmmm*

This does not match my memories of caroling. I think the people receiving the caroling enjoyed it a fair amount. That said, this is my memories of caroling years and years ago, not recently, and my memories may be inaccurate. Also, I'm sure that neighborhood matters.

I have always, always, always wanted to go caroling, but i never have. (This may have something to do with the fact that i don't have the world's best sense of pitch... ahem...)

Still! Caroling! In crinolines! Please?!?!? I promise, i'll sing quietly! :-)

You're the one who lives in Boston, you set it up! I'm out in the boonies. Seriously, we should contemplate this.

I'm totally in -- though we may have to skip the crinolines this year. I'll ask around -- i should see some other people who might be interested at various points this week...

Part of the problem is that I have concerts Friday and Saturday nights, and also a houseguest. This week is pretty blasted.

But you guys should TOTALLY organize something!

Oh, no, there's no time at all this week (or weekend). I'm just saying i can ask around this week and see if people are interested... next week? the week after?

So the problem is that next week is catch-up-on-everything-after-choir-is-over and the week after is drive-to-Ohio, so I dunno that _I_ could come up with something that worked. But there are a heap of peeps in Boston you could gather for this, yes?
