"Hopefully it's just a transient sore throat," I said last night.

Usually my sore throats are ignorable. This one is resisting Tylenol AND chloraseptic. Jeeeez. And needless to say, last night saline wash and a hot toddy hardly touched it.

I think I'm going back to sleep for an hour and if it isn't feeling much better, I'm taking a half-day because i will be SO unhappy at work with this going on.

are your glands swollen, do you have white stuff, and are you running a fever?

My first thought with any sore throat is "oh noes, its strep!!!" because i get it a lot. assure me that im a hypochondriac and its jsut an irritating cold.

It's a cold. It's progressing the same way [livejournal.com profile] adularia's did, and since I saw her 3 days BEFORE her cold hit, and 3 days AFTER her cold hit, I'm presuming it's that.

Besides, no white patches. Even when I did get white patches back in September, it wasn't strep.

Feel better! Have you talked to your doctor about your persistant sore throats?

They're persistent? I... uh... the one in September came up negative on a strep test. I think I just strain my voice all the time.

I'm pretty sure [livejournal.com profile] digitalemur got sick from me. Which is making me very sad. :( If that's so, it's not strep, just an obnoxious cold that started out with two days' increasingly painful sore throat before moving on to prodigious coughing and dripping. I really HOPE that's not going to happen.

*nibble* It seems to be the same thing. No worries, I have chloraseptic, and Food Network to yell at.
